Setting a new standard: Deloitte independently provided limited assurance on Incogni’s data removal practices
Transparency is one of our core values at Incogni. To uphold this commitment, we’ve undergone an independent limited assurance assessment by Deloitte. This step not only demonstrates that our practices align with our promises but also sets a new standard for transparency and accountability in the data removal industry.
By sharing the results of this assessment, we hope to provide clarity and assurance so our customers can make informed decisions about the privacy of their personal data.
What the report assured
On August 6, 2025, Deloitte provided limited assurance that as of July 18, 2025, Incogni:
- covers more than 420 data brokers with data deletion requests;
- receives removal confirmations from more than 420 data brokers;
- sends recurring data removal requests to data brokers at intervals not exceeding 60 days (for public brokers) or 90 days (for private brokers), unless a customer has already been added in the broker’s suppression list;
- does not sell its customers’ personal data during the year ended December 31, 2024;
- has processed more than 245 million data removal requests on behalf of its customers.
What this means
Our commitment to transparency means you can rely on us to be open about our processes and results, ensuring you have the knowledge to make informed decisions about your data privacy.
Comprehensive coverage
When we say Incogni covers 420+ data brokers and people search sites, we mean it.
Some data removal services boast expansive lists of covered sites. However, upon closer inspection, they may be misleading. Services sometimes inflate their coverage by including sites they may have sent one-off custom removal requests to, for example.
We never want to misrepresent the service we provide. Incogni regularly sends automated removal requests to 420+ sites on all tiers of our service. And though the number may fluctuate as we expand and refine our service, we never inflate our coverage list.
Verified data removal
Simply sending data removal requests isn’t enough. What matters is results, so confirmations from these data brokers are crucial.
Incogni receives and processes data removal request confirmations from 420+ data brokers and people search sites. This means we actively track and verify removal requests. So when we report that your personal information was taken down from a website, we’ve confirmed that it has actually been removed.
Ongoing protection
Keeping your personal information private requires ongoing effort. That’s why Incogni is a subscription-based service.
Unless you’ve been added to their suppression lists, we send recurring removal requests to people search sites every 60 days and to other data brokers every 90 days. These sites frequently update their databases—by continuously monitoring and resubmitting requests, we prevent your information from reappearing over time.
Commitment to privacy
Your privacy is our priority. That doesn’t only mean we help you prevent other companies from exploiting your data. It means we respect and protect the data you’ve trusted us with.
We never sell your data to third parties. We only use it to provide our service and protect your privacy. That means using the personal information you provide us to match your identity to exposed online profiles so we can remove them. Data brokers may not use this information in any other way.
Proven expertise
As of July 18, 2025, Incogni has processed over 245 million removal requests, showcasing our experience and capability in data privacy.
By leveraging our proven expertise, we strive to offer the highest level of protection for your personal information, reinforcing our position as a leader in the data removal industry.
Our promise
At Incogni, we are committed to empowering you with the most effective and transparent data removal service available.
“The trust of our users is what drives our service. As a leader in the personal data removal industry, we believe it’s our responsibility to set a new benchmark for transparency and accountability. This independent report is more than a validation—it’s a call to the industry to raise its standards.” – Darius Belejevas, Head of Incogni.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to safeguarding your personal information and continuously strive to provide the best service possible. Together, we aim to push the industry towards a safer, more private digital future for all.
