InfoTracer Opt Out & Data Removal Guide
InfoTracer is a data broker that allows users to perform in-depth personal background research on anyone they like. It gives users access to a public records report drawn from over 5 billion records, with some being available for free, while others require the payment of a fee.
The public records InfoTracer collects and sells include full names, phone numbers, current and past addresses, financial records, criminal and arrest records, and more.
Although this may seem like a convenient way for people to obtain personal intel without spending hours at courthouses and clerk’s offices, there are risks involved. By gaining access to your personal data, cybercriminals can run scams, steal your identity, and blackmail you or stalk you.
This is why removing all of your personal information from InfoTracer and similar data brokers is such a good idea.
Below you will find a step-by-step guide on how to opt out of InfoTracer in just a few minutes. Doing so will put you on track to significantly lowering your risk of being targeted by cybercriminals.
