PeopleByName Opt Out & Remove Your Info

PeopleByName is a data broker website that specializes in providing people search and reverse phone lookup services. The site boasts of giving its users access to over 600,000,000 names and 1,379,043,021 records. Even though these records contain public information from public sources, they can put you in real danger.

Scammers can use this information to target you with annoying robocalls and spam emails, stalkers can use it to track you down, and cybercriminals can combine it with other information they collect on the internet and elsewhere to steal your identity.

Luckily, you can opt out of PeopleByName simply by filling out a removal form. Our step-by-step guide will help you get this done in as little as five minutes. Doing so is a great way to begin protecting your online privacy, but it’s only a beginning.

4. Continue your data removal journey

With that, you’re done with this removal process! Your Personally Identifiable Information should be gone from PeopleByName within 24 hours. Check back in a day or two to make sure it really has been removed.

Check back again in a few months to make sure your personal information hasn’t reappeared on the site. Restart the removal process and submit a new request removal if it has. This is a problem with most data brokers—records tend to respawn over time.

The other major problem with data brokers? There are hundreds of them operating in the US alone. Submitting removal requests to all the data broker and people search sites that have your personal information is practically impossible, unless you have 300+ hours to spare every three months or so.
