Step-by-step LocatePeople.org opt-out guide

  1. Search for your name, surname, and state on https://www.locatepeople.org/

    Go to LocatePeople.org, enter your first and last name, select your state, and click “search.”

  2. Find and copy your report ID and copy the “report ID”

    Scroll down to find your profile and copy the report ID. 

  3. Go to the data removal requests page at https://www.locatepeople.org/optout/

    Now, you can either go to the LocatePeople.org opt-out page or scroll down to the bottom of the site and click the ”do not sell my personal information” button. 

  4. Fill in the opt-out form with your data

    Enter your first and last name, report ID, and email address, complete the CAPTCHA, and click ”submit.”

  5. Check your inbox and click on the verification link to complete your request

    Go to your inbox and find the verification email. Click on the link to confirm your request. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam folder. LocatePeople.org will then take 2 to 15 business days to process your request.
