Private Eye is a data broker site that offers people search, address lookup, and reverse phone lookup services in cooperation with PeopleFinders, another data broker. People search sites often do this: smaller data brokers offering limited personal information act as sales funnels for larger ones that offer much more detailed profiles.

Private Eye will display your age, current and past locations, redacted email addresses and phone numbers, and relatives and associates. Clicking on “view details” will take you to PeopleFinders via a sneaky redirect.

PeopleFinders has a much larger database of personal information. There, for as little as a dollar, anyone can find your birth records, marriage records, uncensored phone numbers and addresses, property records, and much more.

    Enter your first and last name, city, and state. Complete the CAPTCHA challenge and click “opt out” to opt out of PrivateEye.com.

3. Continue your data removal journey

And with that, your part in the removal process is done. Private Eye doesn’t commit to a timeline for actually having your information removed, but it should be gone within a week or so.
